Description

The problem reported in beta 3 for the webm version of the sync video https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=583075#c20 seems to be still there (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588813#c2)

Please reencode the video before the beta 4 release, thanks

I've reencoded the video 4 or 5 times. I'm not sure what else to do. I'll try again, but let's not wait on this for the release.

Beltzner said it's a bug in the Linux version of Fx 4 beta, so I'm going to say this is a won't fix.

Ok, I cant get the VLC player to work, and ffmeg is the most confusing piece of software I've ever run.  If you can take the source file from the http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/firefox4beta/ and do it yourself, that would be great.

Look at syncfinalnonen-us.mp4 and sync640x340 and see if you can re-encode those as webm?
If you can get them under 15MB then we're golden. If not, I don't know what else to do and we can call it a miss and get it right for beta 5.

Your latest version doesn't work either (buggy at another place), plus the spoken text was changed at several places and no longer corresponds to the subtitles in.

I have reencoded the video corresponding to the subtitles we have translated with ffmpeg, works fine on both Linux and Windows XP, please test with Vista/Seven/Mac that it works correctly and put it on videos.mozilla.org:
