While extra ram is not *needed* for the 10.5 builds, it will make the 10.5 builds faster by reducing swap usage. Later this year, as we transition focus towards 10.6, we can convert these upgraded machines to 10.6 builders. after irc, pushing to bhearsum to figure out which 10.5 machines to upgrade, and take offline for IT to upgrade.
try-mac-slave39 - 41 and 44-47 are ready for ram upgrades. waiting for 3 others to finish jobs.
try-mac-slave42,43,38 ready to go
All machines in comment #1 upgraded. Can only upgrade 2 more minis, one stick of the remaining pair has a bad RAM module. Will work on try-mac-slave38, 42
try-mac-slave38 & try-mac-slave42 upgraded
try-mac-slave38-47 are back in production, except 40 which seems to be off. Could you boot it ?
40 had a loose network cable. Derek was at the colo this morning and fixed it. All the RAM is used up now. Can close this bug now?
try-mac-slave40 is back in production. Are we updating the inventory for these changes ? If that's done we could close this out.
I don't see a place in the Inventory app for the amount of RAM (probably something that should get implemented though). Closing this bug.
