589713 - No updates available when there should be updates

My Minefield Beta 5 does not apply the update , it just says no updates are available while my windows version have updates everyday.

In about:config change app.update.log to true, exit firefox, and start Firefox. Select Help -> Check for Updates. Open Tools -> Error Console. Find the entry that starts with "AUS:SVC Checker:getUpdateURL - update URL: " and copy / paste the url into this bug report.

Still cant fix it , there is no entry at the Error console

This won't fix it... it will help diagnose what is actually going on. Do you see messages in the error console that start with AUS? If not, please verify you followed the steps correctly in comment #1 and report back. After we get the log messages we'll take this to the next step

I've tried , but i managed to get the version on the 25th of august's update , there is no error log on the error console starting with the AUS

Managed to extract the AUS errors

AUS:SVC Checker:getUpdateURL - update URL: https://aus2.mozilla.org/update/3/Firefox/4.0b5pre/20100826030729/Darwin_Universal-gcc3/en-US/nightly/Darwin%2010.4.0/default/default/update.xml?force=1

fyi: that is not an error... it is logging info to help diagnose / troubleshoot.

You are now running the 20100826030729 build which is the 8/26 nightly so you are up to date. Since you were able to update I am resolving this as wfm since are now running the latest version. If / when this happens again please post the url in this bug as you did in comment #5 and either reopen the bug at the time or I'll reopen it. Now that you have logging working we should be able to find out what specifically is going on. Thanks
