SMIL should be able to set all the attributes. Trying to animate xlink:href works properly on Presto/Webkit but not Gecko.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the file (http://svg.kvalitne.cz/temp/set.svg)
2. Watch, in one second should be Mozilla star replaced by Firefox logo
Actual Results:
Nothing happens, original image is still there
Expected Results:
Mozilla logo should be in one second replaced by Firefox logo.
