Since upgrading to 3.1.2, mouse clicks to open, delete, etc. messages often don't work (intermittent); also, search and insert image dialogue boxes can't be clicked "OK".

Do you have the issue in safe-mode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?

I just re-launched T'Bird in safe mode, and YES, I do still have the issue.

Also, it may be helpful to note: 1. When I use my mouse on the top-of-screen menu bar [Apple Menu, Application Menu, File, Edit, etc.], which I take to be OS territory, not application territory, I don't have the issue. 2. I have tried substituting a different mouse and keyboard. This did not make the issue go away.

I've been having the same problem 1) Mouse/keyboard change doesn't help 2) Happens on both my Vista and XP systems 3) Began after updating to 3.1.2 Question: Why does Mozilla not let you back up to a prior version? I'd go back to 3.1.1 if I could!

(In reply to comment #2) > I just re-launched T'Bird in safe mode, and YES, I do still have the issue. I don't have the issue on my install :(. (In reply to comment #4) > Question: > > Why does Mozilla not let you back up to a prior version? > > I'd go back to 3.1.1 if I could! Sure we do - we don't recommend it though : http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/ Ken do you also have the issue in -safe-mode ?

Yes, safe mode as well And another annoying thing When I click DELETE on a message, my Inbox suddenly "clears" - shows no messages I have to click on another folder, then back on the Inbox to make the remaining messages appear again

:-( I'm not seeing that.

could be due to compacting or virtual folders. Is folder pane showing All Folders, or Unified Folders? If unified, in what folder(s) are you clicking? Pop or imap? Is auto compact enabled? (options|advanced|network and disk) Are any of the folders larger than 500MB?

I'm not gone ... just stopped having the problems somewhere between when I first reported them (v 3.1.2) and now (3.1.7). Thanks for the help I got here. --Mike Lawrence

I'm not gone either Just the quality of response was lacking 1) It should be relatively easy to "backtrack" to an earlier version - the instructions in the supplied link were clutzy, convoluted and a pain in the rear 2) Answers to questions of 9/13 All Folders Pop No No And yes, I'm still having the problem occasionally even though I'm also running on 3.1.7 now Not enough to make me want to go back to OE, but enough that it's a grumbler

WFM per reporter. Ken, The inbox issue sounds like auto compact, which will tend to clear the thread pane. That issue is described in other bugs. Or might be server issue. Regarding the click issue, suggest you search the support forum http://www.mozillamessaging.com/support and create a topic there if you don't find a match on search
