Matt can you ask if people have the same issue using the latest firefox (3.6.8) on the same hardware ?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 Firefox/3.6.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Shares this problem with Thunderbird 3.1.4 here on a ThinkPad R40.
Michael, have you seen this issue?
Hi, I have tested this with Linux and a Logitech-mouse on a Lenovo R500 and it works as expected. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101207 Lightning/1.0b3pre Thunderbird/3.1.7 I didn't test with the buildin touch pad yet (because it is currently disabled in the BIOS) and I don't have Windows installed. As far as I remember, it also worked well with Linux using the touch pad on my old Lenovo R60 until it died. Matt, does the problem occur with the touch pad only or does it also affect you when using a mouse connected to USB? Do other applications work well with the mouse wheel? If this affects only thunderbird, please open the about:config dialog, type mousewheel and then make a screenshot with the settings showed. Maybe you can retry with or without Shift-Lock, Num-Lock, Scroll-Lock enabled, because the behaviour depends on the modifier keys.
