If you install an extension which is not compatible or corrupt, a notification is shown. Sometimes it is closed right after 1 or 2 seconds. Clicking on the icon in the location bar brings it back into the foreground.

If that notification is closed and you want to install the same or another incompatible or corrupt extension, no notification is shown at all.

Whether a notification has been shown before or not, we should always show it until the clicks it away.

Steps:
1. Install an incompatible or corrupt extension
2. Close the notification
3. Repeat step 1

After step 3 no notification is shown and you have to manually click the icon in the locationbar to make it appear.

In my case I have installed it from the local disk.
