There's a new compare-locales coming up, still buggy, but it already finds a few interesting things. Here's a preview, for fx40x:

  services/sync/sync.properties
      ERROR: argument 1 `s` should be `S` at line 5, column 17 within lastSync.label

  toolkit/chrome/mozapps/extensions/extensions.properties
      ERROR: Found single % at line 63, column 17 within restartToDisable
      ERROR: Found single % at line 64, column 19 within restartToUninstall
      ERROR: Found single % at line 65, column 17 within restartToUpgrade

Those will break browser functionality.
