Details
1. install PSM 1.3
2. start mozilla mail/news
expected results: mail/news connects to POP server, downloads mail
observed:
3. mail/news connects to POP server automatically (don't know why, but it
happens all the time), cursor turns into an hourglass, then PSM crashes with
following report:
PSM caused an invalid page fault in
module PSM.EXE at 0167:004d6900.

4. all mozilla functions (browsing, chatzilla, composer, d/l mail...) will not
work until mozilla is restarted.
5. mozilla closed using File/exit command or Ctr-Q, but cannot restart program
since ctrl-alt-del shows that mozilla is still running, have to select end task
several times before mozilla really shuts down.
6. duplicable every time.
this is strange. May be trunk only bug.
using the branch 2000-11-04-09-mn6 builds, PSM is already installed and works
fine with mail/news and PSM open.
We do have a bug, I think, where PSM remains loaded after exit.

it seems that the crash can only be duplicated if mozilla is set to "work
online" before mail/news is started.

Worksforme. Try it again with a clean install. Delete psm.exe and the folder
that it resides in, then reinstall psm from
http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/psm/psm-mozilla/

the crashes stopped when i deleted the POP mail password in the password
manager, so i guess it's just a bit of random weirdness.
