Details
The Android browser supports devices with trackball to move from one focused element to the next focusable element. I've personally gotten use to this technique especially for sites that have very packed content. (eg. cnn.com) I hope we can support the same on fennec. Repro: 1) install android nightly Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:2.0b5pre) Gecko/20100826 Namoroka/4.0b5pre Fennec/2.0a1pre 2) visit a website with handful of multiple elements on the page (eg. cnn.com) 3) verify devices that have a trackball (eg. Nexus One, Incredible), will not allow you to scroll from one focusable element to the next. Expected: - just like android browser, i'd like fennec to allow the same behavior Actual: - trackball does nothing on the pages

If trackballs are still common on new Android phones, we should do this for b3. Matt, what's your feeling?

Some new Android phones still do have directional controls (usually optical trackpads instead of trackballs), while some like the Droid X and Galaxy S do not. I'm not sure this is a high priority for b3.
