I set the /etc/sysconfig/network to the slave name, rebooted. Cleaned out the slave from staging-puppet with puppetca --clean and rebooted the slave again. Created a /var/lib/puppet/ssl dir (since there was not one) and rebooted again. This slave is not synching up with puppet at all.

corrected /etc/sudoers and rebooted.
