I suspect, but cannot prove, that this is a regression from bug 130078.

If you use accelerated layers (layers.accelerate-all;true), nothing but garbage/random data is drawn on OS X.
Lots of assertions of the type

are spewed out to the console, too.
I get this on mac64 too.
