Details
when a dns-prefetch fails the associated links could be annotated (colored? tool tipped?) to indicate they are probably broken.
different failures might take different actions: timeouts, nxdomain, srvfail, failed dnssec validation
This seems like a great idea.
I wonder though if it would be advisable to make the annotation invisible to the website.
Also, the pre-fetching happens all the time, right?
Wouldn't it be considered distracting if suddenly something changes while the user is being idle (e.g. because he is currently reading a large block of text)?
