Can you try a TM nightly build [1] on that? Jaegermonkey, the new methodjit compiler, has landed there and those sites seem to be much faster.

Just tried the latest build. Completely unusable. I got spinning pinwheels and messages about stopping unresponsive scripts on nearly every tab. I had to force-quit the browser. Minefield appeared to be taking 100% of at least one core on my machine. One of the tabs that I got the error on was http://www.9to5mac.com/ . I think it was appearing on all tabs though. I really couldn't tell. I never got as far as actually being able to use the browser.
This is probably bug 594108.
