User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8
Build Identifier: 3.1.2

I have a series of folders that were imported from Eufora and appear under the folder Local folders\Eudora import. If I right click on a folder underneath "Eudora import" and select "delete" Thunderbird gives me the message "Are you sure you want to delete the folder". If I select "Delete folder" I get the Alert "A folder with that name already exists". Something wrong here ...

Reproducible: Always
Are the folder still present on disk in your profile ?

Anything in Tools -> Error console ?
Alun, please, could you answer to comment #1?

Yes, the folders are still present on my hard drive as * and *.msf files (eg files called "pending" and "pending.msf")

I see the exact same problem as reported by Alun. I'm running Thunderbird 6.0.2
on Windows 7 Ultimate.

Workaround is to first rename the folder (to, say, 'Eudora Import XXX').
Afterwards, "Delete" will work.

Notice however that 'Local Folders' -> 'Trash' will then contain *both*
'Eudora Import' and 'Eudora Import XXX'!

TB v. 52.9.1 on W10.

I get the a similar problem with a mail folder structure imported from Outlook Express.

The workaround with renaming the folder helps.

Also I can delete any folder as long as it has no subfolders.

Actually, renaming the folder did not work correctly.
Only some subdirectories were deleted.
Only after TB-restart, I could delete the top level folder together with the rest of its subfolders.
