In Camino it does not work. Important: This stream is available over this URL too: http://www1.messe-berlin.de/vip8_1/website/Internet/Internet/www.ifa-berlin/b2c/EVENTS/TecWatch/index.html And the stream is offered only a few days, the IFA fair ends on Wednesday evening. Reproducible: Always I have flash enbled in Camino.
I can't get anything to connect to the the actual stream sever (http://184.108.40.206/ifa2010/) at all; I get "connection failure" errors in both Camino and Safari. Is it restricted to German IPs?
The stream is not the whole day present. Watch out for the schedule at: http://www1.messe-berlin.de/vip8_1/website/Internet/Internet/www.ifa-berlin/b2c/EVENTS/TecWatch/Vortraege/index.html Then click on "Mittwoch, 8. September 2010" (Today Sept. 8th is the last day of the IFA 2010-fair.)
I don´t know anything about restrictions, and there is nothing to read on the site.
Yesterday sometimes the stream did not work at all. They wanted to start at 10 am but they had any kind of problems, so they could start transmitting not until approx. 11:45 am. (I received this information by calling the offered service phone number Kathrin Gerstmeir Tel.: +49-30-3038-2331)
Last night (local time) I could see the stream running just fine here from Japan. Right now, though, the page at http://220.127.116.11/ifa2010/ just loads the icons at the bottom, and the statusbar keeps saying: 'Waiting for 18.104.22.168…' Safari 5 is worse at the moment. I get a 'the server does not respond at all' error. I suspect the issue has more to do with bandwidth on the server's side.
I accessed that feed around 5:15PM local time (8:15am utc, 10:15am CET). and tested with Camino 2.1 nightly, 2.0.4, 2.0.3 ml and Safari 5.02. Each of these was able to display / load the feed. Once it started playing it stuttered and stalled quite frequently in each browser. This points to bandwidth issues on the server side. A subsequent attempt to access the feed with Safari resulted in gateway time out (too many connections). Flash 10.1.82.
I tried this yesterday afternoon and actually got the site to load in Safari and Camino, but by that point it was already very late in Germany, so the stream didn't appear to be streaming any more. Since we can't really investigate this any longer to figure out why it was working for philippe but not Roland, I'm going to close this bug as INCOMPLETE.
