I have Netscape Communicator 4.75 on MacOS 9. I've never changed Netscape's default settings and never added bookmarks - it's a "clean" Navigator. When I ran mozilla for the first time, I got a message telling me my profile settings from Netscape 4.x will be migrated, and then crashed. I tried "managing profiles" and crashed again. After adding a bookmark to Netscape Navigator I managed to run Mozilla without crashing.
I just did a clean install of 4.7 and was able to migrate it's profile with a 111508 mozilla trunk build on OS9
