User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6pre) Gecko/20100906 Firefox/4.0b6pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6pre) Gecko/20100906 Firefox/4.0b6pre Withing the last couple of days (don't remember which nightly) the refresh button disappeared. I see forward and back arrows, the drop-down to select a previous page, and then the "Home" button where I expect to see the refresh. Reproducible: Always
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b6pre) Gecko/20100907 Firefox/4.0b6pre It works for me. Able to see the refresh button after the address bar. Please update if it works fine in safe mode or try creating a new profile. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles#Creating_a_profile
If you customize the toolbar you can move it back where it was. That being said, moving the refresh/stop button is a horrible idea. I hope this is not the default with the shipping version.
Per your suggestion, I restarted in Safe Mode and had the same "No Refresh". Created a new profile and had the same result. Attached is a screenshot of what options I see in my current profile, in safe mode, and with a new profile.
Customize doesn't allow to add a Refresh or Stop or Home Button - I suggest adding these to the set of buttons that can be added to to a toolbar
I'm following this bug because I don't like the change. But you can in fact put refresh where it was. If you customize, you can drag it from the right (wrong) to the left (correct) position. It doesn't appear in the selectable menu, which is the bug.
Based on Comment 5, I looked back and do see the very small Refresh to the right of the URL box. I had completely overlooked it and had searched for it repeatedly. I agree that the more intuitive place to look is with the other controls for that tab. I can go back one screen or select the drop-down to pick which of the prior screens I want to move to. I'd expect to see the other option for activity on that tab in the same group of controls. I suggest that this bug be renamed to better reflect the issue, though I really did think it had gone away. Thank you, Holland for referencing the current location in your post as it solved my dilemma of not being able to refresh the screen.
