When I open a new tab / close a tab, there is some strange artifact within the tab during the animation. It is at the position where the icon and the close button is.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a new tab / close a tab
(sometimes the animation is not smooth enough to see it)
Actual Results:
some graphics shown for a short time before animation ends

Expected Results:
graphics should not be visible
