I've wanted this for a while but never got around to filing; recently Emma brought up this issue too, and when I mentioned it in the newsgroups there were several people who "me too"-ed.

Consider a situation where I have a browser session with a bunch of tabs. I quit the browser. Then I want to check something really quickly, so want to start the browser but not restore the saved session and also not lose it.

Bug 588482 provides a way to not restore on startup, but it sounds like quitting will blow away the saved session and replace it with whatever it was you were looking up quickly. So this is a request to have a way for that not to happen.

Right now I end up popping open some other browser when I'm in this situation, but of course then I don't have my awesomebar, bookmarks, cookies, certificates, etc.

I have absolutely no idea how to surface this in the UI in a sane way. :(
Maybe add support for more than one previous session?
