Details

(Whiteboard: [closeme 2014-04-01])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.127 Safari/533.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100802 Thunderbird/3.1.2

The Inbox states the correct number of read and unread messages, but displays only a percentage of them, which may be so low as half of all messages. So if my inbox has n number of messages, I now can only access n/2 number of messages.

This issue started the day I migrated to this new version of Thunderbird.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a large inbox in previous version of Thunderbird
2. Migrate to new version
3. Note that the messges loaded in the inbox no longer coincides with the ones you had in the previous version.
4. Download more messages
5. Close and then open again Thunderbird
6. Note that you no longer see all the downloaded messages (you could see them when downloaded, but after closing and opening Thunderbird you no longer see them).
Actual Results:
Only a percentage of the inbox messages there

Expected Results:
All inbox messages should be there
Can you e-mail me your prefs.js file from your user profile dir - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird - so I can get an idea of your setup? How big is your inbox on disk?
(In reply to comment #1)

I am sending you via email the .js script file plus a file that is located in the CrashReports folder dated 19-August.

File sizes:
global-messages-db.sqlite -- 183,386 KB
Inbox file inside folder Mail>mail.transformats.com -- 2,758,130 KB
(I know it is large, but the issue only started the day I migrated)

NOTE:
I have noticed there are 8 additional folders for mail.transformats.com labeled "mail.transformats-1.com", "mail.transformats-2.com", etc, with Inbox file sizes that range from 0 KB to 7,515 KB. Is this normal?
David Bienvenu, anything in the prefs.js which Alex sent to you? Then what's the way forward here?

Alex, IMAP or POP?
Alex do you still see this problem?

Hi, I think it's working now. It's been such a long time that I no longer remember what this was about.
I believe messages do load, so I guess it's solved.
Thank you
