After removing the redirect for mozilla.org/firefox that was pointing to firefox.com, I'm seeing several variations of this URL in the logs that are now generating 404 errors. Such as:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
http://www.mozilla.org/es/firefox/
Can we have all variations of this URL point to mozilla.org/firefox/index.html or redirect everything except mozilla.org/firefox to mozilla.com/firefox as before?
I don't know enough regex stuff to attempt this, so Alex or Reed please take this.

I looked into this more and this isn't related to the removal of the mozilla.org/firefox redirect. Instead it looks like this has been going on and we just didn't notice because we weren't looking at these sorts of Firefox URLs on the site.
Regardless of what caused this, it would be good to fix it. Is it possible to have a redirect that sent all mozilla.org/foo/firefox (except for mozilla.org/projects/firefox) traffic to the correct page on mozilla.com?
Summary: Several variations of mozilla.org/firefox URL are generating 404 errors now → Several variations of mozilla.org/firefox URL are generating 404 errors

That kind of bothers me. Can you ensure that there will never be another /projects/firefox or /products/firefox or /support/firefox or /community/firefox again? If not, then you might run into issues where newly uploaded pages "don't work" and no one knows why... I doubt I'll remember such a change. I think you only want to redirect /aa/firefox and /aa-aa/firefox to ensure you only get locales. We don't really use or recommend using two letter directories on mozilla.org and I don't think we ever will.

Sure, redirecting just locale-like URLs is certainly fine with me. I have no business planning the sysadmin side of things for the site -- I just see there are 404 errors that we should deal with.
FWIW, the fix for this bug will probably just be temporary if mozilla.com changes to mozilla.org/firefox since we'll probably be serving real pages on these URLs that are now generating errors.

Closing old Mozilla.org website bugs due to them not being relevant to the new Python-based Bedrock system. Re-open if this is a critical bug and should be resolved on the new system too.

This was fixed with the switch from mozilla.com to mozilla.org, I believe.
