Bug 586574 adds a default automatic update pref, and a "Reset all add-ons to update automatically/manually" menuitem. Generally, this menuitem will have no effect, as all addons will already be set to the default setting. So it should be shown only if one or more addons have applyBackgroundUpdates set to anything other than AUTOUPDATE_DEFAULT.
