http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=https://services.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/discovery/3.7a6pre/Linux/&id=4503985 says it takes a while to load the page.  Add-on icons aside, it does seem like "arrow-left.png" and friends could be sprited.  

I'll pull this back in to 6.0.8 but since the milestone already started this morning, I'll leave as a P5-enh.

I built out a sprite of all the fixed assets on the discovery pane, and it wound up being 100k larger (I had to re-encode some JPGs as 24-bit PNGS). I'm investigating trimming some of the images down in size (we use them cropped) and may sprite their results.
