(Whiteboard: [dupme])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.1 Safari/533.17.8
Build Identifier: Firefox 4.0b6

pressing return after entering text in address and search bar does nothing. The triangle go button in address bar also does nothing

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in address bar
2. Press return
3. Problem occurs
Actual Results:
I remained on the same default google homepage

Expected Results:
performed a google search from text entered in the search bar or loaded a website after typing the address in the address bar and pressed return or the triangular button located in the address bar.

I'm running OSX.5 on a PowerMac Quad G5
Tried, doesn't change anything. Both the return and enter key (by the number pad) do nothing at all.
Do you got the special safemode startup dialog ?
Sorry, yes. Safe mode starts up and everything seems to run fine, except the problem still persists
I'm sorry, I looked at the bug headers but they are not set to ALL and not PPC
PPC support got dropped...

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/4/Platforms
You are using PPC, right ?
Hardware: All → PowerPC
I would suggest that PPC support actually be dropped completely if (disappointingly) that is the policy decision for 4.0. Having the betas up to b3 mostly work and then from b4 onward having the product appear to almost work but dismissing any bug reports with "PPC is not supported" just confuses everyone.

BTW, the "Platforms" page mentioned above talks about "universal binary" support for Mac OS X so that should probably be updated.
