Before this is too quickly marked as a duplicate, I want to start off by saying this isn't at all what is described in: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30497 In NSN4.* on Linux, I was in the habit of going "Back" by doing the following: 1. Right-click pretty much anywhere on the page. 2. While still holding the button down, drag the cursor down just a couple pixels. 3. Releasing right button. Also, with a little bit of Xresource customization, you can make NSN go back by simply right-clicking. The menu will only come up if you drag the mouse down. This is a little harder to get used to, but it is blazingly fast -- I can even beat those darn meta tag redirects by right-clicking fast enough. Either of these methods are much faster than reaching for the keyboard or using the "Back" button in the toolbar. These "techniques" cannot be done with Mozilla (as far as I know), as the menu is not operational until the mouse button is released and then re-pressed. I suspect that it might be possible to do this with skins, but I haven't tried that yet. I understand that not all of the UI features of NSN are going to be retained, and I also understand that context menus in Win32 do not become active until you release the button. However, I know that I am not the only one who expects the menus to behave this way, and don't really think the menu behavior will be startling for those who haven't used it this way before. Was this a decision made on purpose, something that just wasn't considered/isn't important, or in the TODO bin? Any clarification (or fixes!) would be great. Many thanks! - Ryan King
