Windows Vista Home Premium Firefox 4b6 CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7250 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 2gb RAM Steps to Reproduce --------------------------------------- 1. http://www.effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/ 2. Click on 'Show Options' 3. Start Task Mgr and return focus to browser 4. Just sit and watch as memory usage gradually increases. It will fall back, but over time it will keep creeping up. It seems to happen very very gradually with Options hidden but with the Options up and showing the Pallete cycling, this is causing the memory to keep building up. I had walked away and came back about 10 mins or so later and I thought it was just lagging coming out the screensaver. But it kept lagging so I checked task mgr and I was over a gigabyte usage. Opened QA Compan and closed the main window but the memory still kept climbing. Compan was unresponsive. I did a close at 1.4 gig and let Windows close it out at that point. I had a 4 gig swap file. 2nd time I let it climb to half a gig, then switched to default home page. Memory was NOT released. It stayed at 1/2gb. Note that pre7 (0815) doesn't have this issue. It'll climb for the first minute or two gradually to mid to high 100mb, but it will drop back and go up again, drop back and go up again...
