we need the crash ID, the technical details are in most cases useless for us.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report#How_to_get_the_crash_ID_if_Firefox_crashes_on_startup

And you have tried the basic troubleshooting things like starting in the Firefox safemode and a new profile already ?
Thanks

Understood.... See below crash ID's there are several.

Yes I tried in safe mode as well. Also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Everything is set to the default settings with no plugins installed etc.

what are vgabocan.dll and basipsub.dll ?
They appear in Firefox process space.

Does it work if you start windows in the windows safemode and try to start Firefox ?

Not sure what vgabocan.dll and basipsub.dll are. The are in the C:\windows\system32 directory

Yes it works in windows safe mode.
Can you upload both files to virustotal.com and post the result ?
bug 434403 indicates that this can be malware and your crashes have the same signature.

It must be something on your system that crashes Firefox and this software is disabled in the windows safemode.Firefox crashes if it tries to create the initial window. This are signs that there is on your system but it's not sure.

Do you have AV software installed ?
Morning

virustotal.com shows 11 and 12 hits for the two files you had me check. I went in and removed them in safe mode and firefox is working now.

Yes I have McAfee and it didn't catch it.

Thanks for all your help. You guy's rule.....Scott

fixed is only used if we fix seomthing in the Firefox source and that is not ht ecase here. I will mark this as dupe of bug 434403.

I hope that there are no other files from the virus/trojan remaining
