Periodically, I go to save attachments to a working folder, and find that the "Attachments" button has disappeared from the pulldown File menu. Closing Tbird and restarting restores it. No observable connection with other events in Tbird or other applications. Reproducible: Didn't try
Anything in Tools -> Error console when it happens ? Does it happens in -safe-mode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
