Device Motorola Droid 2.2 

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Fennec and create desktop icon
2. Work With Fennec
3. Uninstall Fennec

Expected result:
- all related files and icons/shortcuts to Fennec are deleted/removed

Actual result:
- desktop shortcut is not removed
- error displayed - see attach photo

I've seen this, but only during the uninstall. I assume you uninstalled fennec from the system settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications screen?

Yes. After the installation the icon remained on desktop.

Wes - can you reproduce this on your Droid X

This WFM on 2.2 (non-rooted Droid X). I installed a build of my own, created a desktop icon, and then un-installed using Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications. The icon was removed with both the default launcher, and with a third party launcher (LauncherPro) installed.

I'm resolving WFM for now.

resolving invalid because this is an OS issue, nothing we can do
