I got "can't connect to server on one computer" which recently upgraded automatically to 3.1.4. I tried re-installing 3.1.4 but it still didn't connect.

I uninstalled 3.1.4 and re-installed the old version 3.1.3. Connected to the server and the e-mail would download.
I have turned off automatic update for now.
I have another computer which updated and it is working.
I am not sure what is the problem?
There is some bug in this latest 3.1.4 release!

Steps to Reproduce:
1.re-installed 3.1.4 and failed to connect
2.uninstalled 3.1.4 and re-installed and failed to connect
3. uninstalled 3.1.4 and installed 3.1.3 and connected

Expected Results:  
need a fix to 3.1.4

connected to the mail server on all my computers.
Based on messaging community, many people have experienced this.
Can you check the firewall settings on the computers where it does not work !
I regret I am traveling on business and can't get back to that specific computer until 9/29.
lacks requested information.
if you no longer see problem on newer release, please change resolution to WORKSFORME.
if you do see the problem on newer release, please update the bug with details.
