I also can't drag mail from one folder to another. I have to exit and get back in. Then it's ok for a few hours. This started with version 3. I have verified that this is still happening with the latest (3.1.4). Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. I don't know how to cause this -- it seems to just happen after a certain amount of time. Email is never deletable after Thunderbird has sat overnight. 2. 3.
Is this over pop / imap ? Does it happens if you run thunderbird in safemode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) ?
It is with pop. I haven't tried it in safemode. But it has mysteriously stopped happening. It went from happening several times a day to hasn't happened in probably a week. I guess never mind.
If it happens again look into Tools-> Error console, try in safe-mode . and come back to reopen this bug ;-)
