This bug is to create a new version of the Firefox Release Notes page that matches the look & feel of the overall redesign project.

We can discuss specific creative direction offline, but the general starting point should be the files here: mozilla.seanmartell.com/engagement/mocodotcom/mocodotcom-PSDs.zip. The layout from the current page can stay the same...actual content is created by the product team shortly before a release, but you can use the text on the current page as a guide.

Here's a rough schedule...the most important date is the final handoff, of course:

CR1 designs: Friday, 10/1
CR1 feedback: Monday, 10/4
CR2 designs: Tuesday, 10/5
Final approval: Monday, 10/11
Handoff to WebDev: Wednesday, 10/13

Thanks!

Attaching first mockup for Release Notes page

Lee
Thanks Lee. This looks really nice to me. The only thing I'd suggest is that the Get Involved promo (which will change on SUMO, too) doesn't look quite right.

Jane, can you take a look at the mockup from comment #1 and suggest better "Get Involved" content? We could always go the Twitter/Newsletter route, although that's duplicated in the homepage. Another option would be to link to the new participation page that Mary has been working on instead. (that might get my vote) What do you think?
Christian, Mike - we're reskinning the release notes page as part of the overall site redesign. We don't have any huge content changes currently planned as part of the project, but if there's anything you'd like to change about the page as it is now, this would be the time to do it.

The current mockup is in comment #1...let us know if you'd like to see any content changes.

John: are structural changes in terms of the type of content we include allowed/in scope, or are we just looking at layout/style changes?

That depends on what structural changes you have in mind, but in theory I'm open to anything. If you have content you'd like to change, add or remove, now is a great time to propose it.

Pointing folks to the new participation page would be awesome. I just mentioned this to Mary and she is going to send something over. Stand by. Thanks for the opportunity!
Great! I'll spin up some copy.

Thanks!
Here's a mockup to see that in context:

This looks good to me - the only thing I'd say is that we don't need the "Want to Get Involved" promo anymore.

Anyone have anything else to add? Mike? Christian? Mary?
Checking back in here...anything else to add? Otherwise we're going to wrap it up soon.
