Does this happen with a fresh profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles

I just tried it with a fresh profile and it works fine. But I also tried running it in firefox's safe mode("restart with add-ons disabled", with the profile no. 1 I guess), which should be the same thing as a fresh profile cause it disables addons and resets everything else, but then it won't log in - just like with everything enabled.

Well, if it works in a fresh profile it has to be some customization or something in your old profile that safe mode isn't touching.

Probably, but the firefox's safe mode says that it disables pretty much everything, so it's the same as a fresh profile, or it should be at least.
But anyway, rapidshare just changed their site completely and it works fine now. I'm gonna keep this bug report open for a day or two to further check if there will be any problems and than I'll mark it as resolved.
