Would "Meta (... elements)" be more correct terminology than "Meta (... tags)" in the General pane of the Page Info window?

While "tag" may be a slightly incorrect usage, the term "meta tag" is vastly more popular than "meta element". Google search results for "meta tag" have 13,100,000 results versus "meta element" which has 2,010,000 results.
