User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 I've noticed that any third-party program can add a "plug-in" to Firefox without permission. I think that this can cause safety as well as compatibility problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools 2. Addons (about:addons) 3. Expected Results: I would like to have Firefox check for new unauthorized "plug-in" at launch, just like it checks for extension compatibility. Then present the option of letting the user keep the new "plug-ins" or remove them.

How would Firefox know you didn't authorise a plugin at the time you installed that third-party program?
