It keeps trying to load the website untill it crashes. When (after startup) immediately stopping the loading of the default homepage I'm able to visit other websites. After some time (sometimes a minute, sometimes several minutes) it will crash again. No crash report is generated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Visit internal website (as this cannot be reached via the internet you will not be able to test this. 2. Visit several websites (including www.nu.nl) and browse for a while. After a while it will crash. 3. Crash report number: bp-bbe42a93-61a2-4567-b1df-185382100927
In general, these kinds of crashes are due to extensions. Here are several advises to have non crashy session : * use safe mode to determine if the crashes are caused by some extensions : http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/safe+mode then uninstall the crashy extensions * update flash plugin to the latest version : http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
scoobidiver, if firefox is crashing due to an extension it is still our fault unless it is a binary extension (example, google toolbar). So uninstalling is not very acceptable. While flash could be causing the crashes, it should only crash the plugin container. Reporter, I tried to go to your crash id but it is not working. can you try to pull some others out for me to try?

More information: When starting firefox in SafeMode it will also immediately crash. A window briefly pops up stating that the executable hit a runtime error (does not happen all the time, I have been unable to make a screen shot till now) Possible related crash reports (both from yesterdays crashes): bp-bbe42a93-61a2-4567-b1df-185382100927 bp-a1c8632c-7a2a-4ea9-9323-1dbcf2100927 The crash in safe mode does not generate a crash report. As I tried to update this case it crashed again (in safe mode). After several other attempts (and crashes) I got a crash report of today: bp-df2627a5-19e7-4da7-a89c-919732100928 Some other remarks: It appears that the page keeps loading. I also noticed that the CPU usage will spike during this period (untill Firefox crashes). Yesterday I was able to start a session that was stable... (kept alive all afternoon). Your crash id are about 3.6.8 crashes or are not exploitable. I think something was wrong during the 3.6.10 update. Do you update from 3.6.9 or 3.6.8 ? Please, uninstall FF (you can keep your preferences) and install again FF 3.6.10 : http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html Does it solve your issue ?

Firefox is updated automatically so I assume I updated from 3.6.9 I have just uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but the problem remains.
Can you scan your computer with an Antivirus and an Antispyware ? Can you start FF with a new profile : http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles
So the only report I got to work was bp-bbe42a93-61a2-4567-b1df-185382100927, which is [@ hang | KiFastSystemCallRet ] . After you reinstalled did you get new crash reports? Could I see those please?
If have scanned my computer for viruses, nothing found. Starting FF with a different profile does not help, it keeps crashing. Just started Ff again but after brwosing for some time it crashed again. No crash reports are being generated. After crashing I do get the: Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. If any crash reports are being generated I will inform you.

If I understood correctly in order to make the stacktrace I need to download a "official nightly build" from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/ Which one should I download? Should I use latest-firefox-3.6.x/firefox-3.6.10pre.en-US.win32.zip ? Thx.

Hi, Sorry for the delay in my response. As scan with anti-spyware software found some issues on my system. Despite the fact they were all removed and I reinstalled firefox the problem was still not solved. But I noticed IE was also starting to have problems so I decided to have my system reinstalled. After the re-installation of my system I once again installed Firefox and it's now running without any problems. Thanks a lot for all your help.
