In order to solve bug 598162 Daniel needs the logs for static.amo from Sep 13th through the 31st (next Thursday).

I looked on im-log03 under zlb01 and under the union directories /stats/logs/im-log01/... and I don't see it in either of those places..

Access logs weren't enabled for static amo, because once we switch to an actual CDN we won't have logs anyways. Since we aren't using a CDN now I've enabled access logs from now on.

I noticed when I click install from the disco pane the browser also sends a request to VAMO e.g.,

Can this be used instead?

Looks like updateType says a little bit about the request, but I'm not sure it will be specific enough:

49 seems to be UPDATE_TYPE_COMPATIBILITY | UPDATE_WHEN_ADDON_INSTALLED. Does this happen every time an addon is installed or just an addon through the disco pane?

Mossop confirmed that the install ping only happens in certain cases and isn't equivalent to downloads. bug 600671 was filed to make the config change immediately instead of waiting until tomorrow's push.
