600403 - After updating Minefield it deadlocks, seems to be caused by authentication tab being restored

I start my computer from sleep.
A Minefield prompt asks me to close and open again to install the newer version.
I say "ok".
It opens up, I can see the tabs I had open (but page is blank), and everything is frozen.
Title in visual studio attach to process is "Authentication Required".
There's two tabs out of five that do require authentication.
These two sites have their passwords saved.
The entire UI is frozen, including the close and minimize buttons.
Right-clicking on the taskbar I can go to private browsing and use it, but going back to the regular browser it re-freezes. I can open new windows of minefield and use them, but that one stays frozen.
Interestingly if I start a new window, type "reader" (for Google Reader), I can switch to that tab in the frozen window, but I can't interact with it (it does draw properly, though).
If I open a new window, go to the page that was authenticating then I can't load it, it simply won't do anything. It opens fine in Chrome.
I can't close the window that's frozen.
I eventually went to the new window to look at the Minefield version, and noticed I could install yet another update. I did so and now everything seems ok. Maybe the bug is fixed, maybe I hit a race.

I saved a minidump without heap, I can forward it to cdleary.
