RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 679742

Details

(Whiteboard: [parity-chrome])

Steps to reproduce: 1. Open [Minefield|Firefox]; 2. Disconnect from the network; 3. Open Help/About dialog. Expected results: The "Checking for updates..." would turn into something like "Could not check for updates". Failure reason might be nice but maybe it's not relevant for most users. Actual results: The "Checking for updates..." turns into "[Minefield|Firefox] is up to date". Additional information: Instead of disconnecting from the network (which is often a hassle), one may also simulate that by configuring an nonexistent proxy. BTW: Chrome displays "Update server not available (error: N)".
