Right now we're doing: (r'^admin/(.*)', admin.site.root), which seems to be a 0.96 way of enabling the admin site in urls.py. According to http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.1/ref/contrib/admin/#hooking-adminsite-instances-into-your-urlconf we should be doing: (r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), As a side benefit, this will enable all the goodness described here: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.1/ref/contrib/admin/#reversing-admin-urls
