Firefox detects that old version is vulnerable and correctly displays you are up to date one you update to Quicktime 7.6.8.
Safari, IE and Opera on Windows are all unable to detect plugin correctly

Should be corrected for all browsers on Windows. AppID for 7.6.7 and 7.6.8 was Firefox-specific, and have been modified so that AppID is all and the OS type is Windows. There was no entry for 7.6.6, and this has also been added as a vulnerable release with the appropriate KB article (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4290).
Apologies for the multiple QA requests, still getting a handle on things (but think I'm there now).
