Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b6) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0b6 After updating to 4.0 beta, I became aware that no longer was it possible to keep all history deleted except that of the most recent X days. Searching Bugzilla, I found https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=538044#c1 , which suggests that it was removed because it was 'fake privacy'. I agree that it is fake privacy, however, it does help to keep the history database fairly lean, and make the "awesomebar" a better tool by eliminating suggestions of old results. Please consider reverting this change and allowing (perhaps OCD) users to keep a lean, accurate history database easily. Filed as a bug because it is a regression in feature-parity from the last release and because it is not a new request that would require new code of any form. Thanks for your time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Visit Preferences->Privacy->History. Actual Results: There is no present option to force Firefox to delete history older than X days. Expected Results: A method of keeping the history database clean.

I wasn't aware that it counted as a duplicate, considering 538044 is about the option not working back when it was present.
