Build Identifier:
After importing and preparing for import Eudora OSE crashes without any trace of the import.
Import is succes full with 1 mail box ( the IN box).
Import of the OUT box crashes always ( unless he is renamed to ex: OUTER ) then the import is succesfull, but link to the attachments is lost.
Importing all but the OUT box wasn't succesfull neither.
Is there a log where I can see how far the import got before crashing ?
Reproducible: Always

Here's some docs on how to log: https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging
You want to set the log modules to "import:5".
Attach the log to this bug so we can see what's going on.

Marc, do you still see the problem? Do you get a crash report?
Whiteboard: [closeme 2011-03-01][needs protocol log]
I tried 2 things:
1st: Start from a blank Eudora with usage of the import as proposed on first time run
EudoraLog.log is empty: 1101140017 EudoraLog.log
Eudora Log contains info: 1101140017 Eudora Log
Remark: Eudora first imports Account settings & Address Books and only then asks if "you" are willing to import from this location. I feel that it would be more logical to first ask then start the import. This might be important if there are multiple Eudora folders on the HD
2nd: Start from a blank Eudora installation ( no import when it first time run + Don't import anything ). Then starting the import from the tools menu.( first the Settings then Mail ) this gave me the first log file.
EudoraLog.log is non existant:
Eudora Log contains info: 1101140039 Eudora Log
Earlier i managed to get the following log: 1101132340 EudoraLog.log which did contain info.
I also enclose a last log 1101132350 Eudora Log

Matt, Jeff, does log offer anything obvious?

Marc, do you get a crash report?
Severity: normal → critical

> do you get a crash report?
Run /Applications/Utilities/Console.app. Expand "~/Library/Logs" and "CrashReporter", then look for logs for "eudora-bin". Please post the top of that file, stopping at 20th line of stack 0
