Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; fr; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Thunderbird/3.1.4
If the To: field is too big to be displayed a "More" link is displayed. If I click on the link and display all the recipients of the To: field an slider is displayed for the header.
The bug is when I scroll the message content. The text is not copied correctly when I scroll down. I do not have the problem when I scroll up.
Screen copy attached.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive a message with a long To: field
2. click on "More" to display all the recipients
3. scroll the text down slowly. For example 1 or 2 pixels at a time
Actual Results:
New mail text appearing from the bottom of the window is corrupted
Expected Results:
No display corruption

There's know issue and it might be fixed if you install http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1083. Can you try and let use know if that works ?

I installed the graphic upgrade from Apple but the problem is still present.
Is there a snapshot I could try or something else I can do?

I noticed this as well, but if I disabled my only installed extension (Compatibility Reporter), the text is rendered correctly. For all cases of which I am aware, this problem goes away when some (or, in my case, all) extensions are disabled.

The only extensions à have are 3 dictionnaries. I removed them but the bug is still present.
The problem occurs only if:
- I click on the "more" button to display the full list of recipients (attachement A.png)
AND
- I do NOT have a horizontal scroolbar for the message (attachement C.png)
I do not have the problem if a horizontal scroolbar is displayed on the bottom of the message (attachement B.png)
I also note that when I click on the "More" button (attachement A.png) I then get a vertical scroolbar for the header message pane (attachement C.png).
I would say the bug is related to the scroolbars.

Yes, there have been a couple of reports on Mac OSX that the content display isn't correctly repainted on window changes or scrolling, so this is likely a duplicate or least dependent on whatever core bug is handling that issue.

It may be related to the scroll bar going in and out, thus causing the content window to change size and triggering the bug I've mentioned above. Thus, it doesn't seem to be a bug in the header-pane implementation, it's only exposing the underlying issue in the message content pane.
