Details
Even if our VMWare hosts don't have much disk space, we could easily carve up, say 2Gb / VMs on the local host disk and use it directly for swap.
I suspect it would dramatically improve the performance of a build VMs that starts swapping.
This needs looking into.

gozer: as discussed, probably marginal benefit at this point now that our Linux VMs have increased RAM available and we're moving to direct attached storage in the future.
