We are no longer using CiviCRM for anything other than recording user signups. Much of the functionality originally intended for CiviCRM will now be done with Blue State Digital, it'd be worthwhile to remove all dependencies on CiviCRM from the Drumbeat website and hence simplify the site setup. Removing CiviCRM from the setup would have the following benefits:

* Remove hard dependency on PHP 5.2.
* Remove out of date and potentially insecure code.
* Improve performance by eliminating queries to CiviCRM tables.
* Reduce the number of databases used by the site from two to one.

We also have one donations form being served by CiviCRM. Any links to that form can be changed to link to the open web fund donations form on mozilla.org:

Hi Paul,

I'm currently working with Tim to get him SVN commit access (Bug # 607277). Once this is done, he'll be able to move forward with this work.

Cheers,
Paul
