User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.1.13) Gecko/20100914 Seamonkey/2.0.8 The file 'Local Folders\Unsent Messages' is not compacted - neither by manual compaction (from context menu produced by a right-click on 'Unsent Messages' in mail folder list) - nor by 'Compact folders' in the 'File' menu - nor automatically according to the storage space preference defined. (No exact duplicate bug has been found.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. save messages to send later 2. send them (so that none remain) 3. observe size of file 'Local Folders\Unsent Messages' Actual Results: 'Unsent Messages' grows constantly (has been observed to exceed 20MB). Expected Results: File size should be reduced to zero. To fix: delete 'Unsent Messages' and 'Unsent Messages.msf' files (they will be re-created when required). The file is occasionally compacted randomly (???)
Version: unspecified → SeaMonkey 2.0 Branch
Somewhere along the line this problem has been silently fixed (or just gone away...). In SeaMonkey 2.0.11 it now works correctly (both with 'File' -> 'Compact folders' for 'Local Folders' and also with a right-click on 'Unsent messages' -> 'Compact this folder'). Thanks to Anon
