Description

[Pascal Chevrel (relman team) -> :pascalc]

We need 3 strings translated to propose Firefox on the Android market place.

Since these strings are not used on a mozilla site but on a partner application, we have set up a new svn repository for those special projects.

The repository is:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/

For this specific project, the folder is androidmarket/YOURLOCALECODE/, example for Czech:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/androidmarket/cs/

You will find in your locale folder a strings.php file with 3 php variables to translate, ex:
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/androidmarket/en-US/strings.php?revision=75801&view=co

There are limitations to the number of characters you can use:
$titleString : 30 characters
$description : 325 characters
$slogan : 80 characters

A small testing tool to check that what you submitted respect those length restrictions is located there (page updated from svn every 10mn):

This is a short but rather urgent project since we want to submit Firefox Beta for mobile to the Android market place as soon as possible.

Hallo Michael, aufgrund der Beschränkung der Zeichenanzahl hab ich keine Umformulierungsvorschläge. Du hast dich ja perfekt an die Vorgaben gehalten. :-) Ich würde nur das Apostroph hinter "Ihres Firefox'" entfernen und hinter "anpassen, wie Sie wollen" ein Komma setzen.

Danke für die Korrektur. Ich nochmal mit Kadir gesprochen und dann seinen neuen Vorschlag übernommen. Damit wird die Stelle, an der der Apostroph steht, komplett vermieden.

Als Vorschlag: Rückmeldung durch Meinung ersetzen? Oder fehlt da der Zusammenhang damit, dass man seine Meinung kundtun kann? Dann wär Rückmeldung besser.

Weiß nicht genau, in welchem Zusammenhang das steht, aber ich würde Rückmeldung drin lassen. Meinung klingt in dem Satz aus meiner Sicht irgendwie komisch.

Bisher haben wir hier in diesem Text von Handy gesprochen statt von Mobilgerät (z.B. auch in "$slogan = "Nehmen Sie Firefox 4 überall mit hin. Gehen Sie nahtlos vom Rechner zum Handy.";"). Dieses eine Mal "Mobilgerät" zu sagen passt nicht rein. Das einzige Problem ist, dass Android (bald?) auch für andere Geräte als Smartphones verfügbar ist (Tablets usw.). Da sollten wir dann nochmal über alle "Handy"-Stellen in dem Text reden.

Wir sprechen auch sonst von „Willkommen zu“, beispielsweise hier <http://www.mozilla.com/de/firefox/3.6.13/firstrun/>, deswegen würde ich „von“ hier lassen.
