User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.19) Gecko/2010081818 Camino/2.0.4 (like Firefox/3.0.19)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.19) Gecko/2010081818 Camino/2.0.4 (like Firefox/3.0.19)
Any URL will do. Camino will not allow a download to be saved to a location; when a download attempt is initiated when trying to save it to a specific location, it skips (window w/save as-location) disappears.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. any URL w/ a download file of any type. I.E. http://www.selco.info/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=28115089
2. use the Option/click to call up location to save to
3.
Actual Results:
The window comes up for a second or two, then disappears as if the command were complete, the the Downloads window appears with a warning that I do not have permission to save to the location (which I do have, if I had been able to get to the location correctly in the Save to window,)
Expected Results:
It should have allowed me to find the location to save it to, rename it if required, and saved it.
It does allow me to download the file to the default "download" location on the computer itself.

It sounds like you might have a permissions problem, actually. This and the stack from bug 604744 sound like issues with the OS, not with Camino.
You should first try a fresh OS X user account to see if you can reproduce the problem there, and if you can, I suspect you may need to reinstall the OS, because something sounds like it's seriously broken.

Oh, and do the obvious, too -- run Repair Permissions in Disk First Aid and see if that has any effect on the problem.
I have this problem at home as well as work; different machines, different OS versions.

Are both machines configured with the same printer, or have the same printer software installed ?
